With Chinese international promotion continue to progress, the relationship between teaching Chinese language and teaching Chinese culture, together with content and methods of teaching Chinese culture, has become a heated topic among the researchers. The author believes that the ancient primer Three Character Primer should occupy a place in the international Chinese teaching. After a study of the status of Chinese language-cultural teaching, The article analyze the theoretical basis, the instructional principles and the influence of applying Three Character Primer. The author also describes the details of his own teaching practice in Grapangsulin school, Trang, Thailand. The author hopes the those theoretical discussions and teaching practice can be of help and inspiration for the researchers and international Chinese language teachers.
