With the development of international Chinese teaching, students’ expectation for learning Chinese culture is also rising, teachers are also exploring new ways to further enhance the level of Chinese cultural teaching. To offer some advices and examples, this instructional design is written. It’s started with the perspective of cultural differences between Thai culture and Chinese culture by selecting two similar folk tales in the two countries, and built on the basis of the Constructivist theory and Gagne’s instructional design models. This article also offered an actual practice of the design in Pra Suthammayanthera Wittaya School in Thailand. We hope that the design and the practice, can offer a new perspective for researchers and practitioners of Chinese international teaching.
