Through its unique form, folk stories record people’s different living habits andlocal customs in different regions.<The east Mongolian folk story> reflects Kazuopeople’s life. Through the interpretation of lama figures, this article reflects the publicpsychology.The style of the folk tale, with its unique artistic charm and local customs, thusoffers different regions’ colorful life. This article’s research object is “the east Mongolianfolk tales ",which is the first batch of state-level non-material cultural heritage, publishedin2008. This article applies the folk literature, psychology, sociology, history researchmethod into the structure analysis of different story type. Thus, the article discuss thediversity of lama image, from which demonstrates lama belief of Kazuo by the tide ofchange and its profound intrinsic reasons, At last, this article analyze the meaning oflama image,which reflects public psychology.The introduction part of this article mainly expounds the purpose and significance,and discuss the study of the Mongolian folk stories inside and outside. At the same time,this part represents the research methods, information sources and shortcomings. Afterthe introduction, the paper is divided into five parts.The first part, respectively, describes the geography, natural environment, socialenvironment of Kazuo. This part also introduces the summary, including the definition of"east" and the characteristics of folk tale.The second part describes the origin, the development of lama belief and the relationbetween lama belief and public life. Therefore, this part refect the status and influence oflama, which does a very good bedding for further study.The third part studies the lama image in the <east Mongolian folk story>. Firstly,this part describes the lama image in different story. Secondly, combining with thenationality history, this part analyze the different lama imagine, from which reflectspeople’s inner belief change and the rise and fall of lamaism.The fourth part describes the influence of nationality history on the diversity of lamaimage. The public psychology, the government policy intervention and the mixed state ofMongolian and Han nationality. The fifth part is the conclusion, which summarize the lama image in the <eastMongolian folk story>. The different comprehension between public and government,which reflectst he Mongolian people’s religious beliefs and nationality history.
