As the most famous part in Norwegian traditional culture,"Norwegian Folk Tales" is collected in 19th century.They were created by Norwegian people.Until now,they are still a vibrant cultural heritage of the Norwegian people.These folk tales are read to almost every child in Norway and they have been told many times before the children are able to read.The revolutionary spirit of Norwegian people,their humor and fantasy world are displayed in one after another such folk tales.Several of these tales have been chosen for translation so as to bring a colorful world to the readers of Chinese children.There are four chapters in the report,including the description of the task,the process of the task,case study and the conclusion.The first chapter consists of task introduction and theoretical basis.In the second chapter,it mainly gives the preparation before translation,the process of translation and the proofreading after translation.The third chapter is the case study,which deals with the translation of lexical level and the translation of syntactic level under the theory of adaptation.The fourth chapter is the conclusion of the translation practice.It's the summary of the whole process of translation practice and report,including the choice of materials for translation,consultation of references,the narrowing of the topic,the difficulties encountered in translation,the considerations and settling of these hard problems and the insights and inspirations gained from it.This translation practice is not only a process of appreciating and spreading of children's stories in Norwegian Folk Tales,but a process of test and appreciation translation theories.It's of both practical and theoretical significances.
