The Lexical Research On Meiqiao In Xiangxiang

From the researching fruits of the Chinese dialect, phonetic is the focus of dialect research, grammar and lexical is relatively weak. With respect to the phonetic research of Xiangxiang dialect, lexical research is a new field. The data is few and the research is not comprehensive. To this situation, the paper chose the Meiqiao dialect as the research object and made the vocabulary research of Meiqiao dialect more comprehensive. On the basic description, the thesis did a synchronic and diachronic description and analysis. What’s more, the thesis made a comparison between Meiqiao dialect and surrounding dialects. In order to provide the reference of Meiqiao dialect’s ownership of vocabulary.Chapter1as a preface which introduced Meiqiao Xiangxiang district’s basic situation, the evolution of official organizational system and the language using and so on. It has also introduced the presentation of the research status and the importance and the aim and the data sources of my research.Chapter2made a simple introduce about Meiqiao dialect’s initials, finals and tones and its feature.Chapter3based on the Dialect vocabulary, made an investigation on Meiqiao dialect and used the IPA to note the pronunciation.Chapter4from the perspective of synchronic, made a comparison between vocabulary of Meiqiao dialect and Mandarin and surrounding dialects, and discussed the special vocabulary of Meiqiao dialect. In this way, we can know the Vocabulary characteristic of Meiqiao dialect and the relationship between Meiqiao dialect and surrounding dialects. Chapter5from the perspective of diachronic, discussed the classical words, old dialect words, new words in Meiqiao dialect.Chapter6is the summary of this thesis.
