Being an outstanding director in the new generation, Lu Chuan has an extraordinary effect in the film area by implementing the exploration of the author film and humanities perspective into each of his work, through which process we can also see a very vivid character of himself. However, the current study of Lu Chuan’s work only staggering on the stage of individual work comment, very few scholars have done a completely through research on his work. Nor does the solely existing holistic research study Lu Chuan’s work under the creative context, meanwhile, all the research ignore his personal identify as a researcher--postgraduate of Beijing film Academy, this paper will focus on this point to further study Lu Chuan’s method of film creation.First of all, this paper will focus on the analysis of the contex-t of film creation, nowadays, Chinese film is on the stage of after the transition period, and its context comes to the circumstance of "double space", horizontally:the circumstance system space (the gr-adually loosen administrative system and the immature industrial sy-stem); vertically:geological fault in generation creation (the non-ge-neration period of film creation). By making use of the geological fault in generation creation, Lu Chuan lessen the influence of the sixth generation influence, meanwhile by getting rid of the so calle-d anxious in the name of the seventh generation presumption, he fu-lfilled its "capital author" in the space of the systems.Secondly, this paper further analysis Lu Chuan’s film from the perspective of theme selection, image style and the narrative character, then show the style character the film conveyed:From the perspective of theme selection, the director attaches great importance to extreme experiences in critical conditions, meanwhile the humanistic thought on the extreme experience; As for the image style, Lu’s films manifested its pursue of unique style, emblematic scene design, fast-moving shooting styles and the well processed soundtrack. In the area of narrating hallmarks, Lu’s films are characterized by the increasing sophistication of narrative point, the unconventional nature of narrative structure and fragility of the characters.At last, on the basis of analyzing Lu Chuan’s film, his films’context and titling ploys, this paper attempts to highlight Lu’s trailblazing significance to the Chinese film sectors and his far-sighted theoretical awareness. His prophesy of an "industrialized, institutionalized" Chinese film circles, creative reform of theory of the author film, clear and justified creative positioning, appropriate obedience and disobedience of the social institution, long-term aspiration for the author film, development of strategies for the "from inside to outside" choices in-reverse, and dispelling of the generation VI’s anxiety of influence,-all these are thought-provoking to the Chinese film producers of the day.
