The Author Discusses Quentin Tarantino's Film Research Under The Visual Field

Quentin Tarantino is one of the world's most influential directors and a famous independent film director.This thesis uses the "author theory" as the starting point to analyze the director's works of Quentin Tarantino.The thesis first combed the viewpoint and development of "author theory",and determined the basis of Quentin's status as "author-director".Then I sort out Quentin's personal growth experience and creative career,summarize his work chronology,and comb the research results of Quentin at home and abroad to lay the theoretical foundation for the writing.The second chapter analyzes the reasons for the formation of Quentin's author film style from three aspects: the impact of the American film industry in the 1990 s,the impact of postmodernism and Quentin's own growth experience.The third chapter starts from the thematic connotation,and divides into two parts of the violent crime story and the black revenge story.Interpretation and analysis of common themes in Quentin's works from the perspectives of modernism,aesthetics of violence,and feminism.After expressing the continuity of the main meaning of the director's works,the author analyzes the author's tags in two parts: narrative features and audiovisual language,so as to show the director's personalized style.Finally,combined with the theoretical connotation of director and director in "Author's Theory",I reviewed Quentin's work sequence as a whole,and tried to fully interpret Quentin's "author-director" identity and embodiment.At the same time,in terms of film creation and innovation,it revealed the enlightenment to modern movies in China,especially the "author films" since the new century.
