Since the Deconstructionist Theory of Translation was introduced into China, it has greatly influenced Chinese academic circle. During this process various misunderstandings have arisen. The theory stresses the impossibility of transcending the discourses concerned without at the same time denying the translator’s subjective role. It therefore affords us a unique perspective from which to rethink the subjective character and the creative dimension of translation. Furthermore,, the theory actually illustrates profoundly several commonly seen but vital points:the translation is the heritage of the original, in a certain level the original spread and survive by the translation, meanwhile the subjectivity of the translator cannot be denied through the new life bought by the translation. Meanwhile, translation is the new existence of language, innovation and re-creation has been affirmed. Undoubtedly these non-traditional ideas blows a breeze for the Chinese translation study.Some scholars advocate the significance of deconstruction while also point out its possible negative effects. Others considered that some the arguments are aggressive in deconstructionism concerning uncertainty meaning, or irrelevance relationship between the original and the translation. In Derrida’s later years, he proposed the conception of Relevant Translation, which corrected his early years’ radical viewpoints and therefore can shed new light on those misunderstandings concerning the Deconstructionist Theory of Translation. It broadens our mind on translator’s subjectivity and creativity, especially the choices of words in the target language in translation, and makes the re-creation in translation a natural result. The theoretical value of it lies in its penetrating insights into translation practice.Wang Ning pointed out that "Although Derrida’s translation theory had not raised any specific guidance on the translation skills, but at a higher theoretical level guided the practice of translation."(2005:46) From a broad perspective, the process of E-C translation is actually a process of Re-creation, a process of re-creation of beauty based on the target language. Three prerequisites are needed for the re-creation in E-C Translation. Application of Re-creation in E-C literary translation has great significance. Representation of re-creation can also be founded in E-C applied translation. This paper is going to discuss the re-creation in both literary and applied E-C translation in six chapters. Through the analysis of re-creation in E-C translation, we can draw two obvious enlightenments. But further reflection and exploration will help us to find the right and direct way to win worldwide readers for Chinese literature.In chapter1, the author first gives an overall and scientific orientation to "deconstruction", and then explores the enlightenment and development of deconstruction on application of language especially the practice of translation. Also the concept of "explicit translation" bought by Derrida in his later years is represented as follows. These theories provide full theoretical support and substantial regulation to "re-creation".In Chapter2, the author defines "re-creation" in E-C translation as aesthetic re-creation from three aspects:first of all, notable differences of aesthetic generating mechanisms between Chinese and English indicate the possibility of "re-creation" in E-C translation; secondly,"re-creation" in E-C translation is based on splendid history of Chinese culture and characters; thirdly,"re-creation" lies in translator’s imaginal thinking and inspirational thinking.In Chapter3, the author illustrates "re-creation" in E-C literary translation. She presents her idea from three angles, or three principles well adapted to re-creation:faithfulness; expressiveness and elegancy. In terms of faithfulness mainly the truth beauty of "re-creation" is discussed. From expression perspective the author analyses three kinds of representation inspires re-creation in this chapter ranging from lexical, syntactic and textual level; last but not the least, from elegancy perspective the author discusses challenges bought by producing vivid image, elegant style and encyclopedic artistic conception in translation.In Chapter4, the author further discusses "re-creation" in applied translation. To begin with, the author explores the distinction of translation tactics between literary translation and applied translation. Then the author discusses three aesthetic criteria of "re-creation" in E-C applied translation:orderliness, conciseness, and unity.In Chapter5, the author concludes briefly some references for Chinese literature translation. By analyzing the re-creation in translation, two enlightments comes up:firstly there are strong bonds between popularity of foreign literary works among Chinese readers and re-creation of beauty; secondly, re-creation of beauty endows strict demands on the translators. In terms of reflection and exploration the author highlights how does re-creation of beauty in C-E translation break the bottleneck for Chinese literature and win worldwide readers.
