The ten years of "Cultural Revolution" is a special historical period in the historyof the population development in Hunan Province. The domestic situation and therevolutionary enthusiasm of Hunan Province have had a profound effect on thepopulation development during the period. Throughout the decade, the populationdevelopment in Hunan Province can be divided into two periods: the first period isfrom1966to1971when the Cultural Revolution begins, the second period from1972to1976when the Cultural Revolution ends. Population development is closely relatedto the political and economic development of cities in Hunan Province during thisperiod, which contains the universality and particularity. On the one hand, thestatistics of the birth rate and mortality of natural population growth rate of show agood ratio. On the other hand, the density of population distribution and sex ratio alsohas the corresponding adjustment. The second is on the quality of the population sothat the paper mainly focuses on the cultural quality of population. The quality of thepopulation of Hunan Province appears the uniqueness and socialization because of themushrooming tide of revolution booted by the national class struggle as the centraltask. In addition, population movement is a small-scale convection which is a specialhistorical period of the formation of a special historical phenomenon. Finally,although the development of the population seems to be chaotic, the population policyis actually put into practice and the population control is also carried out during thisperiod.
