Abstract:Higher vocational business English professional development face with a contradiction between students scale expansion and less number of teachers with low qualities, to solve this problem, the higher vocational business English specialty must go to the way of connotative development instead of simple extensive development. Higher vocational business English teachers’ professionalization development is a unique path for the connotative development of business English specialty. Through the analysis of the connotation and characteristics of teachers’ professionalization, we point out that higher vocational business English teacher professionalization not only requires the public professional knowledge and skills as well as the education teaching knowledge and skills, but also needs to have business knowledge and skills, English knowledge and skills, and business English knowledge and skillsCurrently, the development theory study of higher vocational business English teachers’ professionalism is still stay on the appearance of introducing foreign related theory, practicing research is also hover in the bud of experience introduced. This paper is intend to point out that the knowledge of English and Business, the solid knowledge of English teaching, as well as the system of business industry knowledge and strong business practicing ability are the vocational abilities and necessary qualities of business English teachers by combining with personal working experience, questionnaire analysis and literature research. Explicating the goal of vocational business English teacher’s professionalism, developing business industry knowledge and practical skills, strengthening the school-based education, establishing and improving the diversification of business English teacher developing platforms, reforming and improving business English teachers’ professional development guarantee system are the basic way for higher vocational business English teachers’ professionalism development.
