Higher vocational colleges tend to pay more attention to the talents' application ability when formulating the curriculum cultivation objectives.In actual teaching,they also pay more attention to the cultivation of students' vocational skills,moreover,vocational skills and professional competency echo each other.So in higher vocational colleges,the cultivation of students' professional competency is also an important aspect in the process of classroom teaching.Compared with general education,vocational ability training is the basic direction of teaching reform in higher vocational colleges.However,in a long past time,Business English Course in higher vocational college still focus on professional knowledge and skills development,and ignoring the cultivation of occupational competency and occupational development ability for students,due to the embarrassment of the previous talent training model.That's why students in higher vocational colleges are difficult to meet the comprehensive needs of employers after graduation.Based on this,it is one of the key topics discussed in the current academic circles that how to improve the professional ability of students in the Business English Course in higher vocational colleges to meet the needs of employers.Based on the analysis of the orientation of Business English Course in higher vocational colleges,this thesis clarifies the status quo of professional competency training about English courses in vocational colleges through questionnaire survey,and deeply analyzes the training predicament and causes.Finally,this paper puts forward the reforming approaches on higher vocational Business English Curriculum under the perspective of occupational competency,aiming at providing theoretical basis for the optimization and promotion of Business English Course teaching in higher vocational colleges.Under the guidance of the theory of action-orientated,constructivism,multiple intelligence,and behaviorist psychology,this thesis uses the literature research method and the investigation method to select higher vocational college and related industry employer in Shijiazhuang as the object of investigation.The paper makes research and interview of large samples 100 students and 10 employers in Shijiazhuang unit on the current situation of position requirements of vocational ability on Business English in higher vocational colleges.The survey shows that the vocational ability training of Business English Course in higher vocational colleges faces a lot of challenges at the current stage,which is posed by faced with backward teaching idea,pointless teaching materials,inappropriate evaluation of after-school,etc.The existence of these problems have greatly restricted the quality of students' professional ability training vocational in higher vocational colleges,which is not conducive to needs of students' professional development.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to analyze the causes of these problems.Through research and analysis,the author carries out all-round reform to Business English Course in higher vocational colleges form some aspects that concludes teaching goals,teaching contents,teaching methods,teaching design,and curriculum evaluation,believing that the causes of problems can be summarized from the aspects of ideological factors,environmental factors,teacher factors,and student factors.At the same time,the author clarifies the reform effectiveness of Business English Course reform under the vocational ability perspective,combining with practical experience of vocational ability training taking Business English Course of Shijiazhuang Vocational and Technical College for example.That fully demonstrated the feasibility of this research.Therefore,the research of this research can not only further improve the theory of Business English teaching in higher vocational colleges,but also provide some practical guidance for the teaching reform of Business English Course in higher vocational education under the perspective of professional ability training.It has the double meaning of theory and practice.
