As one of the "Seven top figures" of the poetry history field, Qian Fangbiao plays an important role in early Qing dynasty. He is an excellent Ci poet, bard, also a Ci poem collection compiler and theorist of Ci poet. He experienced the alternation of Ming and Qing dynasties, witnessed a series massacre of Jiangnan area in the early Qing, spent10years wandering journey, and kept mutual communication and connection with other Ci poets. All of these have become the writing and performing objects of his "Xiangse" Poetry.Qian Fangbiao received orthodox Confucian education from his childhood. However, Buddhism and Taoism have had great influence on his value system after experiencing the alternation of dynasty. So his poems generally revealed the "hermit" and "flee Zen" thinking, which were hidden in the literati identity. Qian’s personal communication with poets who share the same social background, especially with Guangling, Yangxian and Zhexi faction’s poetry, both had profound influences on his composition.548Poems of Qian’s were handed down today. These poems can be roughly divided into four main types according to its contents, which are romance, object-chanting, journey and friendship, and festival and pastoral Poems. But because of the unique experience of Qian, these poems show three different types of style on the whole. The romantic works show a beautiful and graceful style, object-chanting poetry and pastoral poetry show an elegant and fresh style, while journey and friendship Poems show a vicissitudinous and unconstrained style. Different from the early Yunjian poets, Qian’s poetic theory is more developed. It is mainly reflected in three aspects, first is the valuing of Poem literary style. The second is the turning to the creation of Long poem and Single Song from the concentration on Single Song of the early Yunjian poets. The third is the compilation of "Ciruan" poetry and "Chunyu comment work". Therefore, Qian’s poetic theory shows some inclusive characteristic.
