Qian And Song Poetry Study

Qian Zhong-shu is one of the great masters of last century and the research on his scholarship has become a certain category of lore. After the upsurge we find there exists some unsubstantial ring in the area. For instance, Qian Zhong-shu's research on Song poetry is of great significance but not any monograph has made it the focus. In 2003 Qian Zhong-shu's Manuscripts ? Reading-notes of Rong'an Chamber comes out and brings us valuable materials for further understanding of his opinions on Song poetry, but it doesn't seem to be thoroughly used until now. This dissertation focuses on Reading-notes of Rong'an Chamber, Tanyi Lu and Anthology of Song Poetry, probes into four areas of Song poetry research, that is ,the summary, genres and poets, anthology and the edit.On the summary, this dissertation discusses two problems, ie. Song poetry and Confucianism as well as writing poems by means of talent. The former one emphasizes on the creation of Song poetry while the latter one on its character and its influence.On genres, the dissertation chooses Jianghu School as the main target. On the poets, Zhang Lei, Lu You, Fang Yue and Zhou Mi get the most attention. On anthology, this dissertation compares Anthology of Song Poetry with Reading-notes of Rong'an Chamber, tries to analyses issues such as the selection of the anthology.On the edit, this dissertation bases on Reading-notes of Rong'an Chamber and Anthology of Song Poetry, probes into problems such as supplement and reduplicate selection.This dissertation tries to manifests the great importance of Qian Zhong-shu's research on Song poetry on the bases of existing efforts, and at the same time attempts to promote research on the poetry even the whole literature of Song Dynasty.
