Zhangzhou cotton painting, with a profound history, has considerable amount of information in both specific manufacturing and industry. Among its decline reasons, the shortage of traditional raw materials, the difficulty in finding new alternative materials, and the relatively single form of creation are the main restrictions of its product innovation and promotion.Based on existing researches, this paper takes future product innovation into consideration and makes further attempts and analysis in the raw materials, tools, and specific form of artistic creation of Zhangzhou cotton painting, which will be valuable and significant to its protection and development. It aims to push forward the innovation and promotion of this traditional Chinese folk art, so as to fit the market, increase its economic benefits and allow it to pass from generation to generation.
