regional economic changes under the background of modern social and economic changes.Shaanxi has a natural and socio-social environment suitable for cotton cultivation.The introduction of foreign cotton in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China allowed the local cotton industry to develop.However,since the late 1920s,the production and sales of Shaanxi cotton have been in trouble.At this time,the cotton industry in other parts of the country is also facing the problem of shortage of cotton production,and the nationwide cotton industry has gradually formed a wave of improvement.The development of Shaanxi's irrigation and water conservancy projects under the background of the Northwest China and the improvement of traffic conditions have attracted the Shanghai banking industry to invest in rural areas in Shaanxi,which has become an important background for the development of pre-war Shaanxi cotton industry.The development of the pre-war Shaanxi
