The Design And Research Of Sculpture Landscape In Baishui Cangjie Temple Cultural Sacrifice Square

The relationship of the urban sculpture and local culture is close and mutuallyindependent， urban sculpture is an effective carrier of regional culture, at the sametime,the local culture is a source of urban sculpture creation. The urban sculpture hastwo characteristics named as public and historical, which determine them to take theresponsibility of local culture. Therefore, in the urban sculpture design and creation,the full use should be made of the essence of the traditional cultural. Through these, thedesign could have the features both traditional and modern. The benefits of doing soare in the following that urban sculpture can accepted by most people and also meetthe different aesthetic requirements of people with different cultural dimension.In this paper, a sculpture as the part of the cultural square of Cang jie Temple inBaishui town was designed. The Wen Zu Cang jie is a pivotal figure of traditionalChinese culture, the28bird-shaped texts he created has had a profound impact and isthe foundation of our culture. The construction of cultural sacrifice square of Cang jieTemple is also the promotion and the full inheritance of this culture. The sculpture notonly present as a public art appearance, but also is a carrier of character culture, is animportant medium to show the theme of the cultural Square of Cang jie Temple. Firstly,the links between geographical culture and urban sculpture and some other relatedconcepts were discussed, and from the analysis we obtained the significant value oflocal culture on urban sculpture creation. Secondly, a description of the status ofcultural square of Baishui Cangjie Temple project was given according to a diagram text combined methods. Through the analysis of historical and cultural status andpresent situation of project, a theoretical support was offered for the subsequent design.Thirdly, in the specific sculpture design, the author analyzed the theme ideas, location,materials, scale of sculpture design, which include the main sculpture, cultural columnand wall reliefs, then determined the final plan of sculpture design. Finally, wesummed up the whole paper and draw the conclusion, explored how to integrate urbansculpture and local culture organically, intended to provide a helpful attempt fordevelopment and innovation of urban sculpture.
