This article focuses on the design of Exhibition Identity System (EI System) forconference&exhibition.With the modern world moving toward the direction of “art and scienceintegration”, to some extent, the same development trends and the globalization of theworld economy and culture makes the exhibition industry showing the globalizationtrends as well as the globalization aesthetic transformation tendency, which directlyinfluences the development of exhibition industry. As one of the most importantcontents of culture and economy, the exhibition industry not only presents specialexhibits for each exhibition theme, but also contains different aesthetic phenomenonin diverse exhibition activities which involves the brand-featured exhibition designand aesthetic.In exhibition activities, visual image establishes specific brand image exhibitingand accelerates the information communication as well. Building the EI System canhelp corporations to integrate information and their exhibits and then spread it to theexhibition audience. It can continuously strengthen the brand consciousness of theexhibition audience and finally gain their recognition with the EI System.The basic concept of exhibition visual identity system was firstly brought up bythe DEMAGE International Conference&Exhibition Service Co., Ltd, since then theintegrity visual image identity system for corporations in present age has beencompleted. The basic principle of building EI System is to design the non-visiblecontents into static exhibition visual signs which audience can experience and beinteractive through this type of medium of conference and exhibition. The thesisstands in the point of view of designing specific brand-featured exhibition visualimage to analyze the concepts and constitution forms of EI system, and the entirevisual establishment process and cognitive rules from receiving information througheyes to cognitive formed in brain combining with the research findings of physiology,visual psychology and social cognition.The paper holds that the realization of EI system for corporations shall extractfrom two aspects: form symbol and color symbol, and then find the EI system building method which shall be the best choice to meet variety demands such as theeasiest to form the overall exhibition design style, the most resource efficient, the costsaving and etc.---that is exhibition booth modular design method. With introducingmodular design concept in exhibition design, design exhibition booth which not onlycan be used repeatedly, high efficiently and in combinations, but beyond that it mayfully show the visual image of design and enrich the manifestation forms ofexhibition carriers. With modular design method of exhibition booth, harmonize theoverall design style of exhibition brand, strengthen cost control, improve workefficiency and fulfill low-carbon design concept. Build EI system can optimize theproduction chain of exhibition design and propel the development of exhibitionindustry.
