Nowadays, with the development of network technology, the way people get information become more and more convenient. This undoubtedly contributed to the world culture fusion. Under the background of life increasingly internationalized, the survival and development of our native culture space are undergoing different degree of challenge. For design, our research and exploration for native culture is still in its primary stage, compared with the developed countries, there still is a big gap. The spiritual civilization of the Chinese nation for thousands of years to accumulate wealth needs us to inherit, innovate and develop.This project is mainly to explore the traditional Chinese auspicious patterns in modern visual communication design and application of the innovation. The development of the traditional Chinese auspicious pattern has several thousand years of history and a rich philosophical thought and spirit connotation. It is the crystallization of the wisdom of working people in China and the vivid embodiment of spiritual pursuit. And it also constitutes an important part of the people of the world cultural heritage. The formation of the traditional Chinese auspicious pattern not only has a long history and rich contents, also has various forms. This project mainly focuses on the symbiotic pictures’graphic exploration of the auspicious patterns.This project selected some representative symbiotic graphics of the traditional Chinese auspicious patterns and combined them with modern visual design language. Tries to explore a method combining the expression of modern design and traditional culture to make the design work on the connotation not only conveys the essence of traditional culture, but also embody the new times. Therefore the Chinese traditional pattern would to be able to display, promoted and applied through modern way.Through this topic’s research, hoping to make design with Chinese characteristics to find some way of thinking, and new blood to traditional Chinese culture, with design makes Chinese "metropolitan territory " for the people of the world know and acceptable.
