The order of the court is the place where officials stand in the court. The court order system began to germinate in Zhou dynasty and the official rank has become an important criterion of official sequencing since the official rank system appeared. But in the late Tang Dynasty, owing to more disparting special commissioners and official rank trends, the court order made out by the official rank hasn’t measured the officials’actual positions accurately so the co-court system appeared in North Song Dynasty, that is, whoever are civil officials or military officers, whatever kind of official, position or dispatch they are, they stand in the order of official position. The co-court system has become more and more mature from the beginning of Song Dynasty to the period before Yuanfeng Reform and the court order of military officers in co-court system also presented the feature of a given period of time. The court order of military officers is in the rising state in the beginning of Song Dynasty, declining after Emperor Song Zhenzong while what is in contrast to it is that the court order of the Privy Council is always in the rising state, which is closely related with the governing policy "advocating the civil officials and inhibiting the military officers" of North Song Dynasty. In the court meetings, military officers enjoy higher treatment, but the Privy Council from the inner position and officials below Zhusishi still retain its original properties.Rank concept is the core content of China’s hierarchy society, whose direct expression form is the court order system, made out according to the concept. And all officials practice this system, which can constantly strengthen the concept, thus forming a circular interaction model and making the hierarchical society more stable. The design purpose of a country’s system is, of course, to achieve long-term stability and maximize to balance the internal relations, centralizing all the power in the emperor. Military officers are compensated through their salary for those differences in the ritual and they have much salary. Under the system of "reduce their rites and increase their salary", the serious imbalance situation of civil officials and military officers makes a certain degree of adjustment and at the same time let us know the important significance of rites in national governance of ancient China.
