| In Dostoevsky’s final creation The Brothers Karamazov which extends his thoughts about God, the Ontological proposition of God’s existence was replaced by another phenomenological hypothesis that how the world would be like and what should people do when God is absent. It consequently contributes to the complexity of the novel text as well as the importance of redemption problem. By applying Soren Kierkegaard’s theory about human being’s existence, and combining the relevant references with my analysis towards this novel, this paper is to discuss the motif about redemption, thus to find out in what way Dostoevsky expresses his faith and constructs his own spirit in this unfinished work, what’s more, expectedly to help in people’s thinking about life predicaments in current time. |
