A Study On Poetry Literature Spatial Patterns Based On GIS And Spatial Statistical Methods

Literature geography is a new discipline, which makes the relationship between the literature and the geographical environment as the research object. Literature geography research started in the spring and autumn period in China, and the word "literature geography" was first put forward by Liang Qichao in our country. As an important part of classical literature, ancient Chinese poem is an important category of literature geography study, and the study of poems in spatial information provide a good idea for the study of the literary researchers. Geographic information system(GIS) as a comprehensive discipline, combining with geography, cartography, remote sensing, computer science, and many other disciplines and it is widely used in many different areas., GIS provides methods and ideas of ancient Chinese poems in spatial information research, and it has opened up a new research perspective for the study of literature geography.Ancient poetry text contains a variety of geospatial information content, including the birthplaces of poetry and the locations that the poetry described and any other spatial information. By taking some methods to seek and explain the spatial information contained in ancient poetry. Arc GIS Database contain three parts--poetry spatial database, attribute database and relational database. Through these three sub-libraries can realize the convenience of the query about poetry author, content, location information. In addition, based on the database of spatial information to visualize and analysis, And combined with the existing spatial statistical methods, the method analyzes the spatial distribution pattern of implied in poetry study and finds out its reasons by contrast different spatial informationThe paper studies on the spatial distribution pattern of the spatial information that implied by 1113 poets of Li Bai and 1484 poets of Du Fu using comparative analysis method. Specific research methods are as follows: nearest neighbor distance index algorithm, kernel density estimation methods and standard deviational ellipse methods based on the Arc GIS platform. The result shows that both of the spatial information implied by poets are presenting aggregation characteristics, but the centers of them are different. The birthplaces of Li Bai show the spatial distribution patterns of "two lines and five centers", while birthplaces of Du Fu distribute in the way of "two lines and six centers". The locations that the poetry described are all inherited their own author’s nuclear density center of the poetry birthplaces. But Li Bai shows more manifest and more multi-core extensive distribution characteristics. The distribution characteristics appearance implied by poets of Li Bai and Du Fu bond to their personality and political experience.Analyzing the spatial pattern that involved in the ancient Chinese poems of literary works by the spatial statistic method helped the readers have more rational understanding and thinking of poetry. Combining with GIS and statistical method for space information from literature analysis is feasible, it has important reference value for literature researchers.
