The current foreign language teaching, especially listening and speaking, its main purpose is to improve the ability of students’ listening and speaking. Under the teachers’arrangements for the guide in class and teaching activities, students can learn and practice in the class actively, they can exercise and improve their ability of listening and speaking in the practice and activities. But the extremely important in current Chinese teaching is how to introduce some teaching resources and methods according to the characteristics of Thai Students, which students more interested under the traditional practice, those methods can even more stimulate students’ enthusiasm and positive initiative.Although the Thai University also use some short Chinese film to teach Chinese in Chinese listening and speaking, it mainly based on training and CD, and there are some problems in the choice of Chinese films. This thesis will start from the current situation of Chinese Teaching in Thailand, give some further explore about the application of Task-based Teaching in listening and speaking method from the five parts of the thesis. The first part is an introduction, which describe the reason of topic selection, and the research summary, research objectives and methods; the second part have a analyze of Chinese teaching situation and the use of Chinese film and television of Thai university with the form of questionnaire; The third part discussed the theoretical basis, advantages, problems, and other aspects of the selection principle of Chinese Films in Thai university Chinese listening and speaking; The fourth part introduces the task-based teaching model, for what is the task-based teaching model and have a further discussion about how to combine the task-based teaching model with Chinese video; The fifth part, take the specific video resources for example, from the selection of video resources to complete the teaching activities both were described in detail. Which can give some advises for the Chinese teaching practice and research of Thailand University.
