Wang Chang who was a famous scholar at the period of Qianjia in Qing Dynasty, was a man of wide interests such as discriminating stones, codification of articles,literature and art. He had written a large number of jobs which are good fortune for us now. I will introduce about Wang Chang’s official career,friends,jobs of literature and history by the model of chronological biography and I hope this article can reflect all Wang’s life.Wang Chang (1725-1806). his style name is De Pu or Lan Quan, Qin De and literary name is Shu An., was born in Qingpu in Jiangsu Province. He became Jinshi in Qianlong nineteen years, and three years later because of getting first in the exam, he became the Zhongshu in cabinet and govern the ministry of penalty of Shandong Province. Mr Wang became the master of the ministry of penalty of Zhejiang Province in Qianlong thirty-one years and the next year he became the Langzhong of punishmen tin Jiangxi Province. In Qianglong thirty-three years, he was dismissed because of his words and then became an assistant of A-Gui general in October of this year. In Qianlong thirty-seven years, he became the Yuanwailang of the ministry of official personal affairs. In Qianlong forty years,he became the Shilangzhong of the ministry of official personal affairs. Four years later,he became a minister of Dali temple and governed the Henan Province at the same time. One year later, he became the provincial judge of Jiangxi Province. In Qianlong forty-eight years, he became the provincial judge of Zhili Province and then was transferred to Shanxi Province. In Qianlong fifty-three years, he became the governor of Jiangxi Province. Five years later, because of oldness, he wanted to go home and was resigned by the emperor.The next year, he went back to his hometown.In Jianqing eleven years, he was dead when he was eighty-three years old.He had written the "Chunrong-Tang Anthology" which have sixty-eight volumes, "Book of Beautiful Stones" which have one-hundred and sixty volumes, "Qingpu Poem"which have thirty-six volumes, "Huhai Poem" which have forty-six volumes, "Huhai Literature" which have seventy-five volumes, "Collection of Ci in Ming Dynasty" which have twelve volumes, "Collection of Guochao-Ci" which have forty-eight volumes and so on.
