Fang Yizhi (1611-1671), whose style name is Mizhi, the dharma name is Dazhi, and he also may be known by the pseudonym Yaodi, is the person of Tongcheng, Anhui Province. In the early years he was a offical of Ming and a member of the Restoration Society. In Temple Yungai of Wuzhou,Fang Yizhi become a monk in the 8th year of Emperor Sunzhi of Qing Dynasty (1651). Then Fang Yizhi studied with the Monk Daosheng, and to lead the life of reclusion in Kanzhu Pavilion. In his older age, he had a tour to Jiangxi and residence of the Mountain Qingyuan. In the 10th year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1671) October 7th, he died in Wanan, Jiangxi. He has a lots of literary works in his life and wide circle of acquaintances, regardless of monk or official. The life after becoming a monk is the begining of the descendants of the Ming Dynasty. It reflects the national integrity, suffering and spiritual integrity of the descendants of the Ming Dynasty. The way of his making friends is the most comprehensive and objective, which responses the thoughts of one individual state and spiritual pursuit. However, at present the research on Fang Yizhi’s intercourse is less, so the content of this paper mainly studiy Fang Yizhi and his friends, the author widely collect original literature on Fang Yizhi and his friends, get a lot of information to facilitate the collection and collation, selection of valuable material, make it a better understanding of Fang Yizhi as a spiritual activity and diehard monks after the life situation, integrity.
