A Study On The Refugees In North Dynas

Refugee problem, as one kind of social morbidity, is a serious social problem bothering dynasties of past ages. In Chinese history, Weijin Northern and Southern dynasties were special era that occurred with great abruption, upheaval and fusion. Frequent regime change, national conflict, frequently occurrence of war and natural disaster together contributed in forming the most furious refugee wave in Chinese history. Academia places great attention to the research of refugee problem in this era and has already got pleasant achievements, but the research for Northern dynasty’s refugee problem is still weak. The refugee problem in Northern dynasty is not exactly as same as other dynasties’. This paper focuses more on its specific reason, although there are common reasons existing. Based on current available literatures and relevant research achievements and exploring from multi-academic field of history, sociology, statistics and historical geography and so on, this paper tries to make integral research and discussion to the origin of Northern dynasty’s refugee problem, features of Northern dynasty’s refugee problem, refugee strategies adopted by Northern dynasty’s ruling class and impacts to society. Hope to implement a systematic research of Northern dynasty’s refugee problem in order to benefit today’s correlative Northern dynasty researches.
