Le Nozze di Figaro is one of the numerous well-known operas of Mozart. With a rich background story, plenty of painstaking efforts of Mozart, and a meticulous portrait of each character, this opera has become the model for today’s operas. What is more, the arias of baritone are especially impressive and heartfelt, and therefore have become the goal that many baritones challenge. This paper tries to analyses two of the arias of baritone in the opera, through the description on Mozart’s character, the analysis on his music style, and the description of Beaumarchais, author of the novel, on the opera’s background and his own character. In order to better understand how emotions are processed in an opera, one has to have a profound understanding on its background, which can help better understand the composer’s intention, better illustrate the opera and characters of figures. In terms of singers, a in-depth exploration on the inner aspects of a opera is a prerequisite for a more vivid expression of the emotions of the opera and the characters of figures.
