Wu Men Calligraphy School was a calligraphy School at Su Zhou area, going to prosperity in the mid-Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yunming and Wen Zhengming as its leader, Wang Chong, Chen Chun as the main go-getters, becoming the situation of’all the world calligraphy assembled at Wu’.In calligraphy creation, Wu Men Calligraphy School had systematic methods and creative ideas, showing the unique artistic features. They could learn from ancient and accord their own experience, formimg their own characteristics. Zhu Yunming could show a spirit in the rules, Wen Zhengming opposed the creation attitude of mudding in rules, and had his own style. They didn’t only imitate absolutely in the process of learning, but used the way of learning the main idea. They thought learning calligraphy should learn the spirit.Although Wu calligraphers had high uniformity in terms of creation concept and artistic ideas, they showed strong personality in the practice, they not only had their own expertise chirography, on the artistic style also had their own’grace’, so on the whole showed a diverse styles of’everyone has their own characteristics’There is a wealth of calligraphy aesthetic idea in their calligraphy theory, poetry inscriptions and calligraphy practice. They broke the limitations of Tai-ge, and pursued’expression’and’elegant and charm’. The word of’Ya" appeared frequently in the calligraphy appreciation of Wu calligraphers.’Ya’ as an aesthetic ideal got a great development in Wu Men Calligraphy Schools, becoming an extremely important aesthetic principle, including’Gu Ya’,’Xian Ya’and’Wen Ya’.In addition, in the Wu calligraphers’creating and aesthetic, there were not only the style of Jin an Tang Dynasty, and the aesthetic taste of’advocating shape’since the Yuan Dynasty, there were many "magnificent and free’and’aspect ups’works, appearing the romantic style, Zhu Yunming and Chen Chun as the representative, the aesthetic ideals of Momentum’and’Wild’appeared, the calligraphy aesthetic concept began to change, to the late Ming Dynasty,forming a powerful trend of Individual performance and emotional catharsis.
