Homonym is a common phenomenon in language vocabulary, a certain amount of homonym words are English, Russian, Japanese and other languages. Homonym because of its phonetic form the same characteristics to the second language learners caused a lot of confusion, so that it is one of the difficulties in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The ontological study of homonym has been very rich, which provides a theoretical basis for the study of homonym in Chinese. Quantitative study of vocabulary is one of the most important work in linguistics. This dissertation has carried on exhaustive statistical analysis on homonym in one to six levels of vocabulary based on the new Outline of HSK. The statistical data reflects the latest overall appearance of the homonym in the new Outline of HSK, help Chinese teachers and second language learners to better understand homonym, more clearly their importance.Based on the new Outline of HSK one to six words a thorough statistics, the statistical distribution and level of the total situation of homonym. secondly, Analysis the new Outline of HSK homophone collection according to the syllable form and part of the three aspects, and included on new Outline of HSK and Outline of Chinese vocabulary and Chinese characters level outline in homonym to compare, understand the similarities and differences of homonym included. Then selected 25 groups of different grade and different types of homonyms from the new Outline of HSK to Anhui University international students into the questionnaire survey, understand the international students homonym acquisition, summarize and analyze types of homonym question errors and the errors of the reasons; finally, on the basis of quantitative study and questionnaire survey, some suggestions are put forward for the New Outline of HSK and homonym teaching included.
