Research Of Wayfinding Sign System Design Of BeiJing Senile Apartment

The old people is a special group, their life quality depends largely on the facilities of the living environment. For those elderly people whose physical and mental condition is declining, when they have to face a strange and complex living environment, they often feel confused about what to do. If there is a better wayfinding sign system in their living place, the elderly people will adapt to the environment more quickly.This paper aims to find a better solution of improving the wayfinding sign system in Beijing elderly apartment.According to many theories and field surveys of psychology, physiology, architecture, art and design,designs of wayfinding sign system will be studied mainly.It can be analysed step by step with "investigate, function, implementation",then initially to formed a design system for the senile apartment. In this paper,there are some suggestions on the application of the wayfinding sign system design in senile apartment that make research orientation more human development.
