Research On The Inhrritance And Development Of The City In The Process Of Ceremony Drama

Pinghua Shi-Gong drama is an important part of Nanning Pinghua villages on the outskirts in their sacrifice life. As a kind of ceremony drama, it is mainly smritied in the village community. However, the city changes a process to develop very fast. Nanning Pinghua villages have become “the village in the city” little by little and have to faced with the transformation of the city. In order to adapt the innovation and development of the city, the field of Shi-Gong drama and the way have changed. This thesis attempts to investigate the Pinghua Shi-Gong drama, discuss the ceremony dramas’ smriti and development in the city context. This thesis consists of preface, text and conclusion. The text is divided into four parts. The first part, through the observation of Chen-Dong villages’ social history and cultural tradition, to understand the inheritance of Pinghua Shi-Gong drama in this village. The second part,tracks the Chen-Dong Shi-Gong drama group, to have a deep understand of the development of Shi-Gong drama. The third part, pays an attention to the drama performances about: the performance time, performance space, performance repertoires, performance roles and some fundamentals. The fourth part, based on the comprehension of the ceremony, focuses on the performance of three kinds of ceremony, they are sweep ceremony, An Zhen ceremony and “flower” ceremony. Through the investigation I found, Shi-Gong drama is facing the change in five aspects in the process of urbanization. First,weakening of the divine, the ceremony is more simply. Second, the secular entertainment plot have increased more than before. Third, shorten the time of the performance. Fourth, the space of traditional performance is become narrowing than before. Fifth, improve the degree of the marketization.
