A Study On “Unlocking” Of Wuzhi In Henan Province

"Unlocking" include "lock" and "unlock" two rituals,It is to pray for healthy growth of children in childhood.The ceremony is often held when the child is aged 12 or 15 years old,It is often mistaken for adult ceremony.This study aims to collect new information.Details of this research has three points:First, the Henan wuzhi "Unlocking" custom development is inseparable from the local cultural environment.Shanxi in the early Ming dynasty relocated here, had a significant impact for the local language and customs.Second, unlocking ceremony is the origin of the custom of Dragon Boat Festival.This ceremony has the ability to protect the healthy growth of children.Under the influence of Ethnic minority cultures,Long thread used in the ritual evolved into chang ming suo.Third, current places of worship are Henan wuzhi "Unlocking" principal place of the ceremony. Young people are indifferent to tradition, death in the elderly, resulting in most parts of the custom faded, but the ceremonies in places of worship has shown great vitality, even to affect the surrounding villages. "Unlocking" ritual with its own survival capability to keep abreast of the adjustment bar mitzvah-like characteristics for "Unlocking" rituals provide a broader space for survival. Henan wuzhi "Unlocking" ritual inheritance for us protection of other traditional cultures, there are some reference value.
