Research Of Dong Yining And His Ronsdu Ci Collection

Dong Yining was an important writer in early Qing dynasty,who was good at poetry, Ci and article. And he was equally famous with Chen Weisong,Zhou Zhimo and Huang Yong,all who were called the famous Four Scholar in Lanling. He also shared the Four Master in Piling with the three others,Gong Baiyao,Zhou Zhimo and Chen Yuqi. He did well in Ci such as Rongdu Ci collection (three volumes) and Rongdu Poetry collection (one volume) among kinds of literary genre. Under the influence of times culture,he created many erotic Ci and won the fame of expert of erotic Ci and considered as lewd. In fact,his Mourning Ci,Unbosoming Ci and so on also cannot be ignored except his erotic Ci. This paper will study the works and view of Dong Yining who was the first voice of Changzhou,by combining his lifetime and social relations.The first chapter is about his lifetime, social relations and writing. In twelve years of Shunzhi period, Dong Yining’s lifetime can be divided into two periods. His journey of the heart from falling the exam to give lectures was analyzed emphatically. The social relations between he and the famous writer at the time, who influenced each other. And then his writing in different publications was also reviewed. The second chapter is about the view of Rongdu Poetry collection was analyzed in appropriate genre, valuing feelings, romantic charm, etc. The third is about the content of Rongdu Ci collection which was the main part of this thesis. According to the theme, his Ci was divided in several categories, such as Erotic Ci, Mourning Ci, Unbosoming Ci, Judging History Ci, etc. And then analyze the emotional implication of different representative Ci. The fourth discussed the artistic achievement of Rongdu Ci collection, and the characteristic of it in format,tongue and style, And points out its shortcomings.
