Chinese Christian Church of the 19th century is the product of globalization, which presents some new features apart from obtaining nationality and realizing localization instinctively. Through historical analysis and theoretical inquiry, in this paper, the new feature will be temporarily named "group of area". The history of Christianity in China can be divided into several periods:Nestorianism of Tang Dynasty, Christianity of Yuan Dynasty, Jesus in Ming and Qing Dynasties, revival of Catholic and new incoming Protestant in modern times. Christianity as a world religion, its spread and development cannot be ignored its contemporary background of the whole world. In the 16th century, "great geographical discovery" had changed the communication patterns of human beings for thousands of years. From then on, Human beings gradually move from closed to open, from separation to integration. This trend has been gradually expanding from commerce to politics, culture, ideology and even ideology, religion and other fields. In broad sense, the "great geographical discovery" opens the prelude of the globalization dominated by the western. The profound and extensive influence of globalization is growing with each passing day. After the industrial revolution in 19th Century, globalization got the foregone conclusion development. Since the 1980s globalization has gradually become one of the basic features of modern society. In the era of globalization, facing the new situation and new problems, Chinese Christian church will inevitably make the corresponding adjustments and changes. This article can be divided into four parts. The first part discusses the theoretical background of "group of area" church. The second part expounds the name, concept and characteristics of the "group of area" church. The third part demonstrates the appearance of the "group of area" features in Chinese Christian church of the 19th century. The fourth part explains the significance of the theory of "group of area".The first part is the theoretical background of "group of area" church. At the end of 4th Century, the Empire of Rome trated Christianity as the state religion, marking Christianity became a world religion. Christianity spread worldwide while also realize nationalization-a world religion gained national character. It should be noted that the two do not exist in time sequence, but a logical context. Globalization is the inevitable trend of history. This paper tries to review that a world religion with a Christian nationality form under the condition of globalization may face the tension from the perspective of globalization. And then discuss the adjustment and change of Christianity in order to cope with this tension. The adjustment and change will lead to the emergence of a new form church. This paper names it "group of area" church. The second part is the naming, concept and characteristics of the "group of area" church. This paper is just a thesis for master degree, and temporarily I have no qualifications to make the definition of a new theoretical thing. I just want to make some relevant understanding about it. The name of the church refers to the meaning and characteristics of the community. Its features include:with regional and local characteristics; super national, supranational, interdenominational; sense of belonging to Community; The church socialization; outstanding charismatic leaders. The third part is the appearance of the "group of area" features in Chinese Christian church of the 19th century. In this paper, the time limits in the 19th century. On the one hand, this period is in the process of globalization; on the other hand, which is more important, the development status and development direction of China Christian Church in this period is the result of Christian’s own law of development, less human intervention. In this part, the time can be divided into two stages-the first half and the second half of the 19th century. The first stage is the gestation period of the "group of area" church, which provides a lot of experience and conditions for the subsequent development of China Christian Church. The second stage is the embryonic period of the "group of area" church. According to the summary of the relevant features in the second part and making the Chinese mainland as an example, this paper demonstrates detailedly the appearance of the "group of area" church in Chinese Christian church of the 19th century. It is important to note that it only shows a trend, there are many immature places. The fourth part is the significance of the theory of "group of area". On the one hand, "group of area" church can help to promote religious dialogue, in line with "ecumenical" purposes; on the other hand, it can provide inspiration for the future development of the China Christian church. The study about the theory of "group of area" church is not only the thinking and concerns to Chinese Christianity history and its future development, but also a beneficial exploration and supplement to the world religion’s development trend and law under the background of Globalization.
