As a unique grammatical structure, the compressed composite sentence is a very unconscious and common linguistic phenomenon in Chinese. Because of its special nature, the compressed composite sentence has been the focus and difficulty in Foreign Language Teaching. This paper takes five contraction compound sentences:"fei A cai B" and "bu A ye B" and "zai A ye B" and "yu (shi) A yu (shi) B" and "(yao) V jiu V ge+ complement" as the study object, which are given by International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education and seen as the fifth and sixth levels requested to grasp in Chinese grammar hierarchical list. Many kinds of methods have been used to analyze this theme.The first chapter has combined the existing academic research on the compressed composite sentence. At present, the academic mostly focus on definition, type, semantics, ownership and other angles, especially on intermediate and senior contraction compound sentence studies,. Also, the ownership question and specific form has been warmly discussed. Though "zai A ye B" has been discussed frequently, few special study on the remaining four types:"fei A cai B", "bu A ye B", "yu A yu B" and "(yao) V jiu V ge+ complement" have been conducted. In addition, there are few researches which combined the compound sentence and teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Based on the CCL corpus, The second chapter discusses the basic analysis of intermediate and senior contraction compound sentence from the perspective of semantics, syntax and language use.The third chapter mainly inspects the learning situation of the intermediate and senior contraction compound sentence within Chinese learner in South Korea. According to the questionnaire, the acquisitionof the intermediate and senior contraction compound sentence custom, teaching situation and the knowledge grasping situation of the Chinese learners in South Korean have been specifically analyzed. Meanwhile, based on the collected errors, a classified statistics of the South Korean Chinese learner has been carried on, including three categories of seven minor sorts:the semantics understood by mistake, the syntactic component by mistake and pragmatic component by mistake. Moreover, the reason of the mistakes made by South Korean Chinese learner has also been discussed.The fourth chapter inspects two sets of Spoken Chinese materials-"Development Chinese"(Beijing Language and Culture University Press,2012) and "Spoken Chinese" (Beijing University Press,2004). In this chapter, not only the intermediate and senior contraction compound sentence’s selection, arrangement and reappearance have been carried on, but the arrangement proposals of spoken Chinese teaching material has been put forward.Finally, this paper presents several suggestions for improving the intermediate and senior contraction compound sentence within Korean and Chinese on the basis of above analysis.
