| In recent years, the relations between China and Korea is increasingly close, more and more Koreans into the hot wave of learning Chinese, the Confucius institute as a national strategic brand, got great development in Korea. In the Confucius Institute, teaching design is always in the core status. However, the traditional teaching design can’t meet the needs of learners constantly changing. To explore new teaching design has become a research topic.In twentieth Century 90 time, to change the disadvantages of traditional teaching design mode, the American educator Grant Wiggins put forward a new teaching method of Backward Design. In the aspect of achieve the teaching goal, meet the demand of students’ learning, and promote students’learning has a positive influence, received the widespread praise of the American education. Now, the Backward Design has been widely used in Europe and other countries.The content of this article includes five chapters.The first chapter, introduction. Introduced the selected topic background, research significance and research methods.The second chapter, research foundation. First of all, made a detailed review about the present situation of the Confucius institute, the study on application of Backward Design; Secondly, from the origin of development, specific definition and implementation method, expounds the theory on the basis of Backward Design; Thirdly, compared with the traditional mode of teaching, find out the advantages of teaching mode of Backward Design.The third chapter, the feasibility of application of Backward Design in the teaching of Confucius Institute. From the students’age, occupation, curriculum setting, teaching materials and other aspects of the curriculum, Investigate the teaching characteristics of the Confucius institute, and find the problems existed in the Confucius institute. According to the problems, Summarize the teaching inspiration from the Backward Design, discusses the feasibility of the Backward Design applied to the Confucius institute of Korea.The fourth chapter, senior Chinese spoken language course based on the theory of Backward Design. From the perspective of the overall, this paper introduced the nature of the Confucius institute Senior conversation class, teaching materials and teaching objects, based on the theory and method, design the reasonable curriculum, including the teaching goal, evaluation tools, concrete process, etc.The fifth chapter, the teaching design case-can you become a workaholic.
