| After the middle period of the Ming Dynasty, the early regional closed state in Xin’an literature has been broken. The Xin’an literature began to blend in the literary trend, which had wide influence in the country at that time. In this process, Wang Yin played a very important role. He lived through four periods, the zheng, jia, long, wan, in his whole life. Wang Yin had outstanding achievement in poem, poetic theory, literary criticism and other aspects, which had an important influence on the development and spread of Xin’an literature.The paper researches on Wang Yin, combing his life, discussing his literary activities and evaluating his value to the development of Xin’an literature. He had rich life experiences and unique characteristics. He actively leaded and participated in a number of association activities, which promoted the development of Xin’an literature. His poems expressed his true feelings, resonated with the readers’ emotion. He compiled the Xinduxiuyun poetry, a Xin’an selected poetry. The contents in the poetry were quoted by Qian Qianyi into his book The Biographies of the Ming Poets and by Zhu Yizun into his book Mingshizong. This was important for Xin’an literature to spread.The full text is divided into four parts, including introduction and three chapters.
