BackgroundWith the change of the role of women, it faces more and more pressures and temptations, cause of female crime and the number of women serving the emergence of a large number of personnel, female criminals mental health status of the personnel directly affect the reform effectiveness. Personality traits and interpersonal trust and social support as individual psychological health of internal basic elements, important external performance and external influence factors, in the female inmates from free environment, to enter the prison closed environment will occur great changes, so to female prisoners’ personality traits, interpersonal trust and social support status, and their mutual relationship research is very necessary.Objectives1.Through the female prison to investigate the basic situation of the personnel, so as to know the female inmates the basic characteristics of the age, culture level and characteristics of crime.2.The evaluation and analysis of the scale, status of women in prison, aims to explore the personality characteristics of personnel of interpersonal trust and social support.3. Through the correlation analysis and regression analysis to analysis female prisoners’personality characteristic, the relationship between interpersonal trust and social support。MethodsIn this study, using random sampling method, in September 2014 to 2015 3 months in a women’s prison in Henan Province all the prisoners as the object of cluster sampling randomly selected 250 prisoners as subjects, using questionnaire, Eysenck Personality Questionnaire, interpersonal trust amount list, perceived social support scale for evaluation. All data using SPSS software for data entry and processing, were analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, Pearson correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis statistical method.Results1.Basic features of female prisoners:They are mainly under the age of 30.The number of age under 30 is 148,accounting for 59.2% of the total; Cultural degree is generally low, degree below junior high school accounts for 82.4%.Female inmates from rural majority accounts for 66% of the total; The circumstances of crime is slight ,mainly for 3 to 7 years, about 142 people accounting for 56.8% of the total; Most of them are the first time to crime, about 215 people accounting for 86% of the total; Types of crime are mainly for theft and fraud, respectively accounts for 25% and 23% of the total.2.Personality traits of female prisoners:Urban and rural group differences in the group of women serving staff Psychoticism (P) dimension, urban group in the Psychoticsm score higher than that of the rural group (12.13±3.47 vs 10.89±3.57), the difference was statistically significant (t=4.241,P<0.05); group of workers and peasants group women serving different personnel in the spirit of Psychoticism dimension and hide the L dimension, workers group in the P dimension scores higher than the farmer group (11.56±3.34 vs 10.50±3.62), in the L scores of farmers group (11.30±3.64 vs 11.80±3.95), the differences were statistically significant (t=6.988,P<0.05;t=5.828,P<0.05); female prisoners mainly in export-oriented personality tendency, for 165 people, accounting for 66% of the total; in the emotional stability mainly for middle or unstable angina, intermediate 125 people, accounting for 50%, unstable for 67 people, accounting for 26.8%.3.The condition of female prisoners’interpersonal trust: the degree of interpersonal trust is higher overall. The number of low trust is only 25 people, accounting for 10%. Most women prisoners are willing to communicate with people, accounting for 67.6%.4.The condition of female prisoners’social support: Female prisoners’total score of social support and all dimensions and solve the problem, turn to positive coping styles were positively correlated (r=0.068~0.068,P< 0.01); With self-accusation, fantasy, retreat and rationalization coping styles showed a negative correlation (r=0.952~0.011,P<0.01); Female prisoners’age, culture level and solve the problem, for help and dimension and the total score of social support were positively correlated (r=0.003~0.003,P<0.01); And fantasy, self-accusation, retreat coping styles showed a negative correlation (r=0.710~ 0.071,P<0.01); Female prisoners of the prison time has a positive correlation with solve problems and help (r=0.340,0.020,P<0.01), has a negative correlation with Self-blame, fantasy, retreat and rationalization, has a positive correlation with subjective support (r=0.004,P<0.01), has a negative correlation with objective support, the use of support degrees and the total score of social support (r=0.870,0.095,0.183,P<0.01); No criminal record on social support score and each dimension score were higher than have a criminal record, differences were statistically significant (t=2.135,P<0.05, t=0.05,P<0.05,t=0.05,P< 0.05,t=0.05,P<0.05); No criminal record in the era of scored above have a criminal record (0.485±0.254 vs 0.442±0.257), statistically significant difference (t=2.064,P<0.05)5.Analysis of the relationship between personality traits of female prisoners’ interpersonal trust and social support: the dimensions and the total score of social support have a positive correlation with interpersonal trust (r=0.398-0.398,P<0.01); the scores of dimension and total social support have a negative correlation with Psychoticism and Neuroticism (r=0.658-0.306,P<0.01), have a positive correlation with Extraversion (r=0.132~0.132,P<0.01); Interpersonal trust has a negative correlation with Psychoticism, Neuroticism and Lie (r=0.432~0.323,P<0.01), and have a positive correlation with Extraversion (r=0.167,P<0.01).6.Regression analysis shows that the objective support, subjective support, degrees of support using, Psychoticism and Neuroticism have a significant predictive power to interpersonal trust.joint prediction of interpersonal trust degree is 69.5%.7.Parts of the personality traits of female prisoners have an indirect effect on interpersonal trust through social support. Extraversion has an indirect effect on interpersonal trust through each dimension of social support or subjective support. Psychoticism has indirect effects on interpersonal trust through subjective support.Conclusions1. The female prisoners showed stronger Extraversion, the Extroversion is stronger, the interpersonal trust and the level of social support is higher.2.Most female prisoners shows higher interpersonal trust, and the higher of the interpersonal trust shows stronger extroversion and higher levels of social support.3.Female prisoners received less social supports, and social support plays a mediating role on personality traits and interpersonal trust.Providing more social support for female prisoners, there will have a positive role for the establishment of interpersonal trust for them.
