Along with the development growth of political economy, China has promoted the internationalization level. High quality talents have become a necessary condition to improve international competitiveness. Therefore, English teaching is more and more important. However, the traditional method is still the mainly mode in the current college English teaching, it ignores the implicit aspects of curriculum for students to produce a subtle. In the campus, students learn the knowledge best by imitating from teachers and students. These unseen influences are ingrained presence and effect. The hidden curriculum has its unique advantages as an important part in the curriculum teaching system. It makes the students naturally or unconsciously get education experience through the material, cultural, social relations and other educational environment, it can change students’ psychological content, so as to enhance the overall teaching effect. However, the current research of hidden curriculum is still in the first stage, the research on English hidden curriculum development is very rare. So, it hasn’t reached a consensus on the theory, and also did not form a unified theoretical system, so we cannot provide research direction for the follow-up research work; especially for the empirical study on the lack of practical aspects of the development of English hidden curriculum in normal college. In this study, the writer analysis of the hidden curriculum of College English teaching and the characteristics of the structure deeply by using the hidden curriculum as the breakthrough pointer, points out the existing problems through the investigation on the current status of the development of English hidden curriculum. According to the concept of English hidden curriculum development, the writer puts forward the teaching of College English hidden curriculum development principle, discuss the strategy of development way, in order to guide the practice of English teaching, and also promote the healthy development of students.
