The Association Between Mobile Phone Dependence And Loneliness And Sensation Seeking Among College

In modern society, mobile phone has become a necessary implement in our lives. Mobile phone brings people convenience, but it also has gradually produced a series of problems, such as excessive or over use of mobile phone, which has caused serious impact on people’s learning, work and life. So the study of mobile phone addiction has important meaning.The article mainly uses questionnaires to college students as the research object. It selects loneliness and sensation seeking as two independent variables to study the situation of college students’ relying on mobile phone. Then we use Group counseling on the mobile phone dependence. We expect to find what factors affecting mobile phone dependence and explore the effective intervention. So as to provide theoretical support for the prevention of mobile phone dependence and also provides ideas for subsequent research. The results showed:1.Mobile phone dependence is a normal distribution between college students.2.For college students of different genders, there is no significant difference of mobile phone dependence.There is significant difference between mobile phone dependence and whether the participants fall in love or not. For college students of different educational background, there is significant difference. Junior college students have the most serious addiction on mobile phone dependence. There is no significant difference between mobile phone dependence and whether the participant is parent family or not, it is the same with the one-child or not. The origin of student have no effect on the mobile phone dependence.3.The study shows a significant positive correlation between loneliness and mobile phone dependence. There is significant difference between the sore-high group and the score-low group of two dimensions of sensation seeking score;loneliness and sensation seeking have a positive prediction on mobile phone dependence.4.Mobile phone dependence has a significant negative role on the mental health of college student.5.The behaviorism group counseling can improve the mobile phone dependence in college students.
