Islamic civilization and other civilizations of the world are facing the increasingly communicate and collide with the development of globalization, and Muslims are also seeking the ways of re-Islamization to make the weaking activities of Muslim community be reactivated,like religious spirit,ethical culture etc. The Islamic parties and scholars have come to realize that an amassing number of challenges in contemporary Islam society.In order to pave the way for the modernization of religion itself,they are willing to change the way of the religious development,following and maintain their own values in the meantime under contemporary social and cultural background.It is advisable to reflect the problems of western consumerism and consciously construct reasonable Islamic consumption ethics system beyond western consumerism to the thrust of the contemporary Islamic consumerism ethics.The contemporary Islamic consumerism ethics developed on the basis of traditional Islamic consumerism and modern consumerism thoughts. This paper pointed out that contemporary Islamic consumerism ethics is characterized by both modernity and Islamic ethics factors,based on an elaboration about the theoretical characteristics,relations between consumptive religion,Islamic modernity, traditional Islamic ethics and Islamic culture etc.It is claimed that the contemporary Islamic consumerism ethics,as an important part of contemporary Islamic culture, reflects continuation of traditional Islamic ethics and consciousness of Islamic culture.Contemporary Islamic consumerism ethics offers a new vision to deeply understanding of the development trend of contemporary Islam and Islamic culture for both Islamic societies and other societies as well.
