As the exchanges of China with foreign countries become more frequent, the international publicity translation (IPT) is getting increasingly important. In China, the main task of international publicity translation is, by translating Chinese into English or other foreign languages, to introduce China to the world. It will play an important role in promoting understanding and cooperation by and with the international community, as well as enhancing our international image, thus creating a favorable external environment for national development.The Beautiful Guangxi reflects the economic and social development, tourism resources and cultural customs of Guangxi. It mainly shows the beauty of landscapes, ethnic culture and social harmony of Guangxi, which serves as an important window to see the new look of Guangxi in an all-round way.Recommended by the supervisor, the author contacted and got approval from Guangxi Television to work as a translator for the subtitles of The Beautiful Guangxi-Origin of the Delicacies. The project started on November 1st,2014 and ended on March 1st,2015. This project report is divided into five parts. The first chapter introduces the background information of the project, including the origin, pre-translation preparation, and the linguistic feature through text typology. During the translation process in chapter two, the author expounds the translation strategies as well as the stylistic feature of the project under relevant theories. Chapter three is case study guided by theoretical analysis and translation strategies. The fourth chapter talks about the importance of self-proofreading and partner-proofreading in the quality control and customer evaluation of the translation. The fifth chapter summarizes the qualities of professional international publicity translators and some problems or shortcomings in the project.
