With the acceleration of urbanization, many cities in the process of building enough attention to the construction and urban culture to build the identity of the city that is prone to thousands of city side results. One of the main city identity system as a means of image-building of the city, this article attempts to Hangzhou, for example, from the perspective of multiple sensory, visual, hearing, touch, taste and smell of the five elements of experience, to carry out the study the city identity system, and then tap and explore the rich culture of the personalized city identity system.Firstly, from the city identity system based on the current era and the emotional needs of the environment, combined with the city identity system research status at home and abroad, summarized the status of the domestic research the problems, propose the introduction of an innovative multiple sensory theory.Secondly, were described " sense "," five senses " and " multiple sensory "," experience" and "urban experience" related concepts, the last mentioned herein defined "multiple sensory experience of the city." Before relying on the theoretical basis, combined with domestic and international examples, many elaborate vision, hearing, touch, smell and taste more than five senses experience factor in the city identity system of expression and participation, then summarized the five elements in the city application of the principle of city identity system.Finally, according to the principles of multiple sensory experience factor raised above the city identity system applications, combined with the actual cases of Hangzhou, sort and analyze multiple sensory experience summed up the meaning of the elements applied in Hangzhou city identity system:1.In the visual-oriented condition, inspiring emotional experience, then bringing physical pleasure;2.Adapting to the times, multiply dimensional applying to promote city personalized positioning, enhancing the identity of city brand;3.Providing a full range of services, increasing people’s satisfaction,enhancing the city brand’s value.Combined with the current domestic and international examples in the same time, with the help of electronic information technology continues to progress, for lack of Hangzhou condition under personalized position, with in putting forward my own views and new ideas which to solve problems.
