The Study On The Layout Of Practical Chinese Writing In TCSL Writing Textbooks

Writing is an activity of outputting Chinese in written form by the means of the comprehensive use of Chinese language knowledge, such as vocabulary, syntax, discourse, literary form, style, Chinese character. Training foreign students’Chinese writing ability doesn’t only promote their learning of Chinese language knowledge, but also offer another important way to communicate in the trade, diplomacy, education and communication activities in the future. Writing is regarded as a skill which is most easy to be neglected, the practical Chinese writing is considered a literary form which is difficult to master. Practical Chinese writing is a literary form which we often use to handle official business or our personal affairs, its format is relatively fixed, the content is objective and true, and the language is concise and formal. The practical Chinese writing is of great practical value, it is closely related to our daily life. Along with the development of society, communication in our life and work is increasingly frequent, affairs need to handle are more and more complex, so the importance of practical Chinese writing teaching is remarkable. Nevertheless, it hasn’t yet drawn much enough attention. At present, there is a lack of the practical Chinese writing textbook which is really suitable to international students, the space of practical Chinese writing in comprehensive textbook is limited, and generally start to involve from intermediate class, there are only a small amount of writing textbooks including practical Chinese writing from the elementary class. The teaching of practical Chinese writing hasn’t achieved the desired effect, so it must cause enough attention, universities and colleges should teach practical Chinese writing in stages and systematically. This thesis makes an overview of the current situation of TCSL textbooks, a survey of layout of practical Chinese writing in four series of textbooks, and an research by questionnaire on situation of students practical Chinese writing, combines theory and practice, provides suggestions for compilation of practical Chinese writing in TCSL writing textbooks. This paper consists of five parts:The first part is the introduction, mainly introducing the origin, current situation, purpose and significance, methods and ideas of the research.The second part is the study of practical Chinese writing in TCSL writing textbooks. Based on the present situation of compilation of TCSL writing textbooks, makes a further research on practical Chinese writing, particularly analyzes the compilation of practical Chinese writing in TCSL writing textbooks from the compilation idea, style, the type, the proportion, model, vocabulary and sentence pattern, exercise and writing skills etc.The third part is the questionnaire survey. This thesis learns about students’ practical Chinese writing by a questionnaire survey on intermediate and advanced students in the Institute of international education in Anhui University. According to the analysis of the result of questionnaire survey, the paper analyzes the emphases and difficulty of practical writing, and puts forward suggestions to improve the layout of practical writing in style, category, lexical chunk, model, supporting materials, aided teaching technique.The fourth part is the thinking of writing textbooks and the practical Chinese writing teaching. It analyzes the significance, negative influence and positive influence of textbooks to practical Chinese writing, and proposals to improve practical writing teaching from three aspects, such as making full use of textbooks and paying attention to the content layout, and caring about teaching method.The fifth part is the conclusion. Summarizes the main points of full paper in brief, makes expectations of the layout of practical Chinese writing in TCSL and teaching.
