Psychological studies have shown that nursing students to master the knowledge ofdepression has a direct relationship with depression. In order to mobilize the enthusiasm ofnursing interns, and acquire more knowledge of clinical practice, successfully completinglearning tasks, while providing improved nursing teaching management theoretical referenceto depression in nursing students. This study examines current clinical nursing interndepression and depressive state of knowledge in Hebei General Hospital, analyses influencefactor of intern’s depression and understands the relationship between depression anddepressive state of knowledge.This research extracts360medical clinical nursing interns from13medical schools byusing stratified sampling method to carry out questionnaire including general information onthe design of the respondents, depression knowledge questionnaires and self-ratingdepression scale (SDS).Statistical methods are using SPSS17.0statistical software for dataanalysis, including the mean±standard deviation, independent-samples t test, ANOVAanalysis, and concluded that:1、The average score of depression knowledge of clinical nursing intern is (3.90±0.48).The Average score of three dimensions from high to low as follows: recognition ofdepression (4.13±0.49),managing depression (3.97±0.45),the diagnosis of depression(3.90±0.45). It means the clinical nursing intern knowledge of depression is in the middle orupper level.2、Knowledge of nursing interns depression in age, child, education, health, relationshipstatistically have significant differences (P<0.05), born in different positions, internships, orat the school Department had no significant difference.3、Clinical nursing intern scores by self-rating depression scale (SDS). The scores arehigher than the norm (P<0.01).24.56%of nursing students are in depression state. Thenursing age, student intern positions, health status and personal relationship has an effect ontheir depression.4、 Depression in clinical nursing intern all three dimensions of knowledge and self-rating depression scale (SDS) score are negatively correlated (r=0.698,P<0.01). Thatmeans nursing students’ score of level of depression knowledge is higher, then the lower thelevels of anxiety and depression.
