With the development of society, technology and culture, aesthetics goes from the superior of the altar to ordinary people. Not only works of Art, daily commodities have also lead to people’s sense of pleasure and aesthetic experience, and become a kind of invisible power to move customers. The psychological and mental function of commercial activities strengthens unceasingly, and the product becomes more and more emotional, commodity gradually become emotional symbol of human activities from the functional elements with human carriers. Under the background, emotional design think for customer emotion comes into being and emotional economy is also booming, so emotional experience and consumption have become a more important form of consumption.As an important platform of emotional experience, children’s picture books have the unique charm and read widely by children. It is not only one of the platform for the children to explore the world, cultivate personality and satisfy the curiosity, but also carries great significance of education. The creation of picture book are inseparable with children, and preschool children of all ages have different language, behavior and reading characteristics. Children’s preferences varies by age and gender. The Growth Laws of children can provide psychological guidance for the Creator of children’s picture books. While the design quality of picture books can also affect children the degree of accept knowledge and the richness of the emotional experience in the process of reading.This paper first studies the picture books reading behavior of preschool children from these aspects:independent reading ability, time, love, attention, emotion control, sense of color and so on. Then the paper summarizes some reading characteristics of preschool children. According to the characteristics of preschool children, this paper respectively analyzes the preschool children characteristics of emotion, language, reading and memory. The results of the preliminary market research, the development characteristics of preschool children and three design level: instinctive, behavior and reflection, these three aspects are used.to deepen the understanding of the theoretical framework of the preschool children’s picture book emotional design theory for the picture book designer. Secondly, we try to sum up some specific methods of preschool children’s Picture Book Emotional Design. Finally, we apply the design methods to the design practice to bring little readers more emotional experience except the basic reading needs, and design a preschool children’s picture book which can meet more the emotional needs and cause emotional resonance for children. In order to cast a brick to attract jade, This study hopes that more and more people can pay attention to the emotional design of children’s products, in order to improve the overall level of picture book for our country.
