Computer programming technologies have been booming in recent decades. Software has been used in all sectors of the society and greatly enhanced work efficiency. But the potential of software has not been fully tapped in interpreting training. Further studies must be carried out to enhance self-study of interpreting. This paper focuses on how to improve self-study of interpreting with Goldwave by tapping into its features, for example,"range selection","play","edit cue drop", etc.Based on studies at home and abroad, Prof. Cai Xiaohong puts forward five indicators to evaluate interpreting quality in her Interpreting Evaluation. The five indicators are faithfulness, grammatical accuracy, fluency, communicative skills and client satisfaction. Based on the first three indicators, the author designed an experiment to examine how Goldwave improves the self-study of interpreting.
