In the late1990’s, Hegel’s theory of recognition was widely concerned by thedomestic academic circle. As the core concept of human political community,"Recognition" has a very wide range of ideological source. To clarify the source ofthoughts, will make Hegel’s theory of recognition has been a comprehensive andin-depth understanding, and also make the further development of the theoryof recognition has an open road. This paper firstly analyzes the resources of recognition which contained in thehistory of philosophy: In ancient Greece, Plato’s theory of passion andAristotle’s theory of friendship can be thought as the first presentation of the problemof "recognition". After that, it was further expressed in the theory of natural rights andsocial contract. To the period of German classical philosophy, Kant and Fichte madetheir contribution for the development of the theory of recognition respectively. Afterabsorbing the resources of recognition in the history of Philosophy, Hegeldeveloped his own theory of recognition, and constructed his own systemof recognition of "spiritual philosophy".After analyzing and synthesizing the various research paths on the problem ofrecognition in the history of Philosophy, I try to reinterpret the classical theory ofrecognition from the angle of subject consciousness. This form of theoreticalconstruction not only comes from the theoretical inspiration that the author learn fromthe Chinese Confucian philosophy (the author tries to mix Chinese philosophy andwestern philosophy together), but also is rooted in an inner experience which comesfrom the author engaged in self-cultivation.
