Recognition is a very important concept in Hegel's philosophy, because it shows the way of looking at things from the standpoint of intersubjectivity,so it is a typical embodiment of the subjective world outlook. However,Hegel's concept of "recognition" does not stop there. He does not stop at rationality regarding himself and his opponents as subjects, but is also satisfied with the power control relationship between the subjects who regard themselves as both ends and means. It takes this concept as a breakthrough point and leads to its own unique holistic view, the concept of "spirit".This paper tries to dig into this important theme in Hegel's philosophy and show the consistency of Hegel's thought from the early stage to the later systemized stage. In this paper,in addition to the research review, the author will elaborate from the following parts.Introduction: First of all, from the background of the history of philosophy, through the change of the cosmological world landscape from ancient Greece to the Middle Ages,we can see how the inter-subjectivity ideology of the recognition phenomenon is formed.Chapter 1: The core theme of Phenomenology of Spirit is "Spirit".From the way of spiritual activities and the significance it plays, spirit is both the subject and the whole. From the level of inter-subject,the focus of recognition relationship between subjects is the subject. While pursuing its limited purpose, each subject objectively coordinates with other subjects pursuing its limited purpose.Chapter 2: Consciousness understands that things need to be explained, but because the way of looking at things is to treat things as limited things,so it does not really understand things.Chapter 3: Self-consciousness regards itself and other things as subjects, and requests other things to present their needs to them on their own initiative. From the standpoint of owner, thing and community,we can see that the other two forces exist for it.Chapter 4: Individual consciousness is still regarded as an end,but at this time, individual consciousness is to make the world, not the general things, fit its needs.Although rationality is aware of the importance of the world,it still does not abandonthe subjective position and still regards the world as an individual, which determines that he still treats the world outdoors.Chapter 5: The recognition mode of this chapter is one-way recognition relationship.Individual consciousness recognizes that the world is the purpose and basis, and focuses on the whole, seeking the overall recognition and acceptance. But because individuals do not really understand how to integrate into it,they have a relationship with it in the most reasonable way.
