In Chinese linguistics circle, the study about adverbs has been enduring. Therefore, the related achievements are quite abundant. For a very long time, thewhole linguistic focus the attention on the adverbs’ attribution, sub-branches and theerror analyses. As for the translocation phenomenon, the research has been less. Moststudies of the translocation phenomenon are limited, appealing attention oncomparisons of a few adverbs. There is no systematically analysis of the phenomenonon the foundation of observing a large number of adverbs. In the field of teaching Chinese as the second language, there are some disputesabout adverbs, like whether it can be displaced, which of the words can be displacedor the differences after being displaced. In order to answer these questions, we pick up311adverbs as research objects, analyzing their possible positions in sentences. Andthen, we divide these adverbs into two aspects. What is worth mentioning is duringthe research, we found after some adverbs’ displacement, there is semantic ambiguitybetween the new and old sentences. Therefore, basis on the theories of semanticorientation, we tackle the related problems of the adverbs’ translocation phenomenon. For the purpose of putting these conclusions into act, we propose some advice interms of editing teaching materials and teaching application strategies in thedissertation. Hopefully, these ideas could help TCSL teachers when they teachadverbs’ translocation phenomenon.
