Yao nai compiled teaching materials “guwencileizuan” in his own practice ofteaching, the book generated a great impact on philological education in QingDynasty. In the late Qing Dynasty, as a family school literature anthology, it becamethe necessary materials of Chinese teaching. Family school education is an importanteducation form in ancient China, which is play a key role in Ming and Qing Dynasties.As the family school teaching materials——family school literature anthology, it hasshowed the distinct characteristics of the teaching materials in the selection of articles,commentaries and compiling system and also generated a significant implication inthe ancient philological education. Therefore, it is very important to study the familyschool literature anthology. This paper takes the family school literature anthology“guwencileizuan” as the research object, using reading literature method andcomparative analysis method, making a comprehensive analysis on the“guwencileizuan” for the angle of philological education.Firstly,“guwencileizuan” contains a wealth of educational philosophy. In theinfluence of Confucian and Taoist thought,“guwnezileizuan” is not only considerConfucian thought as its main educational thought, but also absorb the positive factorsof Taoism. It adopts the split method and the heuristic method of teaching, throughteaching, to guide ancient prose beginners and highlight the Tongcheng school literarytradition.Secondly, through reading the preface of “guwencileizuan” and Yao naicomments carefully, summarizing its writing theory, to explore how to improvestudent’s writing ability, we reveal the value of philological education of“guwencileizuan”.Finally, we dialectical evaluate “guwencileizuan”, from the articles selection andlater on printing and adopting aspects, we analyze its influence in the philologicaleducation history, not only affirming its statues in philological education, but alsopointing out its limitation in articles selection and anthology. To study “guwencileizuan” from philological education perspective, we canaccurately reveal the situation of philological education in this period, to providesome research results for investigating the traditional philological education. At thesame time, to discuss the value of philological education of “guwencileizuan” andYaonai’s teaching practice, we can make a more comprehensive understanding ofYaonai’s positive influence on education.
